Each of these tees is hand-dyed on the North Shore of Oahu by local, @hannahemorrow. The colors we chose are inspired from the bright, vibrant colors of the Hawaiian islands.
The Hawaiian tie dye shirts are inspired by a group of fun-loving girls on the north shore of Oahu. As a side business, the girls create tie dye shirts for local brands and experiment with new colors and art-forward techniques. One morning, over a cup of coffee, we asked them if they would be willing to create a small run of tees for us. They agreed to help.
We sent over a few loose ideas around color / style and let them make the final call. Two weeks later we had 36 tie dye shirts ready-for-print. In order to get these designs back to the mainland, we had to sacrifice one of our favorite surf boards and stuff an empty surf bag full of garments to avoid shipping fees. Was it worth it? We think so.
